The Manila Bulletin reported on June 21 that grade school teacher Salem B. Tayong from the Mamali Elementary School, Sultan Kudarat gave his graduating students a free photoshoot to show his support and care for them.
Admitting that he has no budget for this photoshoot, teacher Salem highlighted his role as a teacher and how he values the celebration as an important milestone for his students. He said, letting his students feel that this is a momentous event, making them happy, and sharing to them the opportunity to reminisce about this celebration, makes him glad and feel accomplished.
The behind the scenes of the photoshoot was uploaded by teacher Salem in Tiktok and now has more than 2 Million views and has garnered numerous positive feedbacks from netizens.
We salute these kinds of efforts made by our Filipino teachers and may this be emulated by others nationwide. As we struggle through hardships and trials, let us remember that at the end of the day, the relationships that we value and the happiness we share are the most important things in our life.
